Our network goals are twofold:
Knowledge building
- Integrate knowledge from different areas about personality and perinatal mental and physical health
- Combine diverse theoretical perspectives, methods, and practical experiences from clinical, personality, and social psychology and other fields
- Conduct research to significantly advance our understanding of perinatal adjustment
- Disseminate key findings to the scientific community, relevant target groups (e.g., parents-to-be), and the general public
Capacity building
- Transdisciplinary exchange (e.g., between clinical, personality, and social psychology and related disciplines such as medicine, midwifery, and sociology)
- Connect researchers at different career stages
- Provide optimal mentoring for early career researchers
- Increase visibility through joint projects and outreach activities
- Build an infrastructure that facilitates continued long-term collaboration
